A delightful recipe for light and fluffy angel food cupcakes topped with fresh strawberry whipped cream.

  • 1 cup egg whites
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup cake flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form.
  3. Gradually add granulated sugar, beating until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold in sifted cake flour and vanilla extract.
  5. Pour batter into an ungreased cupcake pan.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the tops are lightly golden.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool completely.
  8. In another bowl, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  9. Top cooled cupcakes with sliced strawberries and whipped cream.
