- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups mashed potatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Mix well and shape into a loaf.
- Place the meatloaf in a baking dish and bake for 45 minutes.
- Meanwhile, prepare the mashed potatoes, adding half of the cheese.
- After 45 minutes, remove meatloaf from the oven, top with mashed potatoes and remaining cheese.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly.
