  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup colorful sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  4. Add eggs, vanilla extract, and almond extract to the butter mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips and sprinkles.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them evenly.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

  • For extra decoration, use icing to create light strings on the cookies.
  • These cookies can be made a day in advance and stored in an airtight container.
