A delicious and comforting recipe for chicken and dumplings that can be easily made in a crockpot.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken thighs
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 package refrigerated biscuit dough

Instructions

  1. Place chicken thighs at the bottom of the crockpot.
  2. In a bowl, mix the cream of chicken soup with chicken broth and seasonings. Pour over the chicken.
  3. Add frozen mixed vegetables.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  5. About 30 minutes before serving, cut biscuit dough into quarters and stir into the mixture.
  6. Cook until dumplings are fluffy.
  7. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Feel free to add your favorite vegetables.
  • For a richer flavor, use homemade chicken broth.
