These Easy Hershey’s Red Velvet Blossoms Cookies are a delightful twist on the classic cookie, featuring a vibrant red color and a delicious chocolate kiss on top.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 30 Hershey’s Kisses, unwrapped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together the sugar and softened butter.
  4. Add the egg, red food coloring, and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and blend well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
  6. Shape the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, then press a Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each cookie as soon as they come out of the oven.
  8. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

  • For a fun twist, try adding white chocolate chips to the dough.
  • Make sure to let the cookies cool completely before adding the Hershey’s Kisses to avoid melting.
