An easy and comforting dish that combines the flavors of a classic Philly cheesesteak with pasta, enhanced by the savory goodness of turkey bacon.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces penne pasta
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pound steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add olive oil, onions, bell peppers, and garlic. Sauté until softened.
  4. Add steak strips and Italian seasoning, and cook until steak is browned.
  5. Combine the cooked pasta and shredded provolone cheese with the skillet mixture. Stir until the cheese melts and everything is combined.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with crispy turkey bacon.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider using provolone or Cheez Whiz.
  • This recipe can easily be adapted to include other vegetables.
