A delightful and quick recipe for chicken pho that can be prepared in just 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 pound cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 package rice noodles
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges
  • 1 handful fresh basil leaves
  • 1 handful bean sprouts

Instructions

  1. In a pot, bring the chicken broth to a simmer.
  2. Add the fish sauce, soy sauce, and sliced onion. Cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, prepare the rice noodles according to package instructions.
  4. Once the broth is ready, add the shredded chicken and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  5. Serve the soup in bowls over the noodles and garnish with green onions, lime, basil, and bean sprouts.

Notes

  • For added flavor, add sliced jalapeƱos or chili paste.
