  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons fresh sage, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup cranberry sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the chopped sage and vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Drop cookie dough by tablespoons onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Allow to cool.
  8. For the cranberry buttercream, beat together the powdered sugar and cranberry sauce until smooth.
  9. Frost cooled cookies with cranberry buttercream.
