A quick and flavorful bolognese recipe featuring turkey bacon for a twist on the classic dish.

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/2 pound turkey bacon
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup red wine
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the chopped turkey bacon until crispy.
  2. Add onions and garlic, cooking until softened.
  3. Stir in ground turkey, cooking until browned.
  4. Add crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, wine, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
  5. Simmer for 20 minutes over low heat.
  6. Serve over pasta or with your favorite side.
