  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup strawberry jam

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, and mix until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, folding until just combined.
  6. Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Make an indentation in the center of each ball and fill with a small spoonful of strawberry jam.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
